The Unit of Surgical Research is a part of the Department of Surgery directed by Prof. Pierre Hoffmeyer. It’s objective is to encourage surgical research and to offer a firm foundation from which experimental surgical protocols can be developed and realised.

Within this global research unit the different surgical departments each undertake research within their own specialized fields.
